Tips For Perfect Pies
Pies are difficult to make- I’ve been known to throw a few crusts across the kitchen in frustration. Over the years I have picked up a few tips that can help you become a master pie maker:

Over the 4th of July weekend I had a piece of apple pie that I won’t soon forget. The crust was flakey and delicious; the fruit filling was tart and mouthwatering. I asked the baker of the pie if she would write down her recipe. Here it is:

I shared slices of my hot Pear Pie with Ryan and Brianna, and they seemed to agree that it was great! I loved it (if I do say so myself). The next day, I took the remaining slices in to work to share with Mari and Chef Chuck. Success!
